The DST1200 accurately measures distances between 40mm and ~10m. Use this Phidget for motion sensing, object detection, or spatial awareness. This Phidget connects to your computer through a VINT Hub.
Features
- Measure the distance of objects between 40mm and 10m from the sensor
- Distance is measured using ultrasonic waves reflected off objects
- Detect up to 8 reflections, strongest reflection will be reported by default
- Retrieve data as often as every 100 milliseconds
- Optional quiet mode to make the sonar pulse less conspicuous

* – Maximum distance depends on the reflectivity of the surface of the object. Typical results are around 170mm, but could be as low as 100mm for some surfaces. The “200mm” listed on the enclosure is incorrect.
